Find out what it takes to fly through the clouds and fly that amazing machine in the following articles. Here we will focus on the steps to obtain a private pilot\’s license, abbreviated PPL (A). With this license, one can fly single-engine piston aircraft with a maximum capacity of 16 passengers
The basic requirements are that the pilot be at least 17 years old and have a medical examination by a designated physician. Once these requirements are met, one can choose one of the companies that offer pilot courses and receive theoretical and practical training at that company.
Theoretical Training
Theoretical training covers the necessary aerodynamics, dynamics, aircraft design, aviation procedures and regulations, navigation, meteorology, and much more.
Hands-on trainingHands-on training involves a minimum of 45 hours of flight time, of which at least 25 hours must be in a two-seater with an instructor, 10 hours must be flown solo under the guidance of an instructor, and 5 hours must be flown solo.
Theoretical Flight Test
The theoretical flight test is taken after the first solo flight. This test is conducted under the supervision of a flight examiner and instructor.
Practical test
After passing the theory test, a practical test is given.
Pilot\’s License
After passing the exam, the pilot\’s license is issued. However, by law, a person becomes a pilot only after flying 50 hours. Ideally, you will fly with an instructor for the remainder of your flight time as part of your paid training.
You may also want to become a “test pilot” before starting a course. Flight schools offer the opportunity to pay to fly with an instructor, during which time you can learn the basics of piloting an aircraft. Not only will you have an unforgettable experience, but you will also find out if you really want to get your pilot\’s license.
